Her life and education:

Syrian writer and poet who was born in Aleppo 1964. She studied civil engineering later she shifted to study English literature. Hazar began writing poetry from childhood and has written several articles as part of literary activities in public school and high school. Hazar participated at occasions in Damascus under the auspices of the Literary Story Forum.

Hazar published a poetry book called "On the Face of Smoke Floats" about the Prince's House of Culture and Science, in this book she tried to approach her native country Syria, then second country that she spent most of her life in is Lebanon. Hazar in this Diwan tried to mix the daily moment with the haunted of the word and its repercussions. Hazar focused in the Diwan on autistic concern that expresses the vision of a poet who finds only words to resort to, as if she lives in a maze that knows how to survive only with poetry, as she mentioned in a later press interview. The Diwan included 18 poems in Arabic poetry, perhaps the most prominent of which are: "What scatters from a newspaper," "Ten Ants", "For Reconfiguration." A story, "If the sad pelican speaks," "the branch is the lust of the one who's going to change it."

Hazar published another Diwan called: “A shadow scatter” and “Prayers for Gaza” which discussed Gaza Strip through several poems.

Career [edit]

Hazar Tabbakh started her career in the world of writing, publishing, and writing early through writing poetry, later she associated with several literary forums and clubs, led by the Literary Tale Forum and the Free International Society of Arab Translators and Linguists, where she oversaw the poetry section as well as the Al-Fakhoura Literary Forum as well as the Al-Barari Forum when she also oversaw the poetry section. Hazar participated in the first competition of the Literary Tale Forum and won second place for the poem "We were finished".
