"البصرة"

مِنْ معالم البصرة من بعد النخيل، الشناشيل العريقة، وأصل كلمة "شناشيل" هي كلمة يعود أصلها إلىٰ الفارسيَّة، وهي "شاه ناشين" ومعناها موضع ارتقاء الشاه - الملك - وكانت بداية هذا النمط من العمارة والزخارف والزينة في البصرة منذ القرن السابع عشر، وانتقلت الشناشيل إلىٰ بغداد وبقيَّة المدن والمحافظات العراقيَّة.

From the landmarks of Basra after the palm trees, the ancient Shanashil,  the origin of the word Shanashil is a word that dates back to Persian and is "Shah Nashin" and its meaning is the place of the rise of the Shah - King - and the beginning of this style of architecture, decorations  in Basra since the seventeenth century, and AL-Shanashel moved to Baghdad And the rest of the Iraqi cities and governorates.
